In the mid '90s Lexicon put out 2 new effects processors, based on a dual DSP architecture. The PCM80 is dedicated to multi effects and has a classic Lexicon reverb always available with them; the PCM90 is fully dedicated to reverb, with some delays capabilities too.
Its 2 Lexichips II are a power factory capable of running heavy algorithms like Random Hall or Rich Plate or even two split or cascading reverbs. The soon to follow PCM81 and PCM91 are pretty much the same machines with higher quality converters and more algorithms/presets on board, previously available on expansion cards.
The heritage of the PCM90/91 goes back to the 224XL, from which it takes the Concert Hall. The mighty Random Hall, Rich Plate and Ambience come from the Lexicon M300 and 480. These older monster machines used multiple processors and a lot of components to run their programs. The PCM series does that in a smaller physical format, still extremely powerful and enriched by a very creative parameter modulation section, where parameters can be controlled by performance aspects such as input signal, tempo, Lfos, time switches and more...

The PCM90/91 is the only Lexicon processor capable of running those legendary algorithms in the same box. Random Hall has its spectacular delays randomization, delivering one of the deepest and warmest reverb ever heard. Rich Plate uses delays randomization too and has a convincing plate character. Concert Hall is different as its internal delays are chorused and the size of possible environments goes well beyond the typical hall dimensions.
Other useful algorithms are also available, Chamber, Room, Inverse, Ambience.

The PCM90/91 is one of the best tracking reverbs you can get, with the classic effects coming from a long and mighty heritage and the legendary Lexicon sound.

   The classic Lexicon 300 preset ported to the PCM. Bright and splashy sounding. Should work well to brighten a track without getting too washy-sounding.
   
  SPLATTER ECHO
   A blend of diffused echo and bright Plate reverb. Not tweaked for super lush... the raw character is the hook here!
   
  HERE & FAR
   Ambience grand space and distant echoes. Great on sparse playing solo sources!
   
  GLOSSY PLATE
   Ported from the Lexicon 300 presets, this shines a little differently. Some close in pre-echoes give a strong impact to the original source.
   
  WARM PLATE
   This comes from the Lexicon 300 too.A slightly dull Plate which will work very well on horns tracks, adding point and definition.
   
  HER HALL
   She really deserves her space! Nice, nice nice!

  SING PLATE
   A Plate reverb well suited to vocal tracks. Fat and very colored by pre-echoes.
   
  STAGE PLATE
   From my Lexicon 300 Library. A Plate reverb with just enough space clues to simulate a stage area. Nice on the whole band mix.
   
  AIR INJECTOR
   From my PCM80/81 Library Pt.2. This one helps your direct recordings to recover some life, providing a touch of real space. ADJUST has 4 preset "air" amounts you can use.
   
  STAGE DRUMS
   Ambience working to provide a stage perception for your drums tracks.
   
  BLUES PLATE 2
   From my PCM80/81 Library Pt.1. A colored bright verb for overdriven guitars or full band mixes. Plate is mid-sized, dense and bright. Adjust controls reverb decay.
   
  ECHO PLATE 2
   From my Lexicon 300 Library. A couple of dry diffused echoes survive to a bright Plate reverb.
   
  GOTHAM EVIL2
   This gets even better! 2 Inverse reverbs with their slopes mirror swept by an LFO. The resonant space is mutant!
